Pictures that have emerged on the internet show how a double rainbow broke through the clouds over Buckingham Palace shortly before the death of Queen Elizabeth II was announced.

Prior to the official announcement of the Queen’s death by Buckingham Palace, reports had already gone viral on the internet that the Queen was under medical supervision at Balmoral after her personal doctors became concerned for her health.

Crowds were gathered outside the royal residence in London, amid concerns about the monarch’s health when the rainbows appeared.

Some admirers of the queen have suggested that the rainbows signify heaven’s happiness to receive the queen because she lived a fulfilling and saint-like life.

And perhaps the heavens themselves wanted to mark the passing of the late amazing queen.
