Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin is a Ghanaian actor, musician and comedian.
He was born on 15th April 1987. He hails from Ahenkro - Kwaman, off the Offinso road in the Ashanti region. He is currently 30+ years.
Kwadwo was not able to completed a Junior High school but was able to engage trade with friends in kumasi the Ashanti Regional capital. He never like school because he was always at the last position in the class.
Lilwin made his debut in the local movie industry (kumawood) in a movie titled Daakye Asem Nti where he acted alongside A-list actors like Vivian Jill, Agya Koo and Micheal Afraine.
He wowed many Kumawood directors with his creative and amazing performance which made other directors and movie producers select him for most of the lead roles.
He was introduced into the movie industry by Theophilus Amoabeng, a Ghanaian director popularly known as Batman.
Director Batman believed in Kwadwo Nkansah’s acting capabilities and featured him in a movie that lead to his breakthrough.
This has resulted in him featuring in over 700+ both Ghallywood and kumawood movies since he started his career.
Kwadwo Nkansah is now the crowd’s favourite where most kumawood movie lovers always want to see on their screen and directors chased him for a roles.
He was nailed as the kumawood Poster boy. Lilwin used creativity and love for acting to come up with characters that best suit the role he is playing at the moment.
By combining creativity and his own antics he has been able to give each movie a unique twist which in turn makes him and that particular film memorable to the viewers.
Even though he wasn’t the leading actor in his 1st movie, his exquisite performance made other directors and producers to notice and cast him in other lucrative movies.
One other of those kumawood directors that noticed and believed in the acting capability of Lilwin is Renowned Movie Director Jackson k. Bentum.
Kwadwo Nkansah is known for movies such as Azonto Ghost, Sika Kasa, Agye Nyame Bamu, Bonsam Bofo, Mogya Kronkron, Boyz Abre, Obaa Nti, Sure Banker, Amammere Fie and Okwantuni Mmobro.
Kwadwo Nkansah came to be known as Ghana’s Lil Win because he believes his physical features resemble that of the American rapper Lil Wayne.
Lilwin is not just an amazing comic actor but also an incredible musician.
The Kumawood Poster Boy has also released several songs like Nyame Gye me, Akyire Asem, Meyare where i played the role as Psychiatric Doctor in the Video, ,Fawoladder, Anointing, Corner Corner and an all-time favourite Street Hit Mama boss Papa.
This songs are making airwaves and are not left behind when the best songs are ranked. He also has an electrifying stage performance and makes the crowd yearning for more anytime he mounts the stage.
Lilwin was born to one Mr Kojo Boadu and Madam Adwoa Afrah both kwaman. He grew up with six other siblings and currently have four(4) handsome sons.
Lil Win is an accomplished entertainer who never lacks praises from his fans. He has been recognized by both digenous and Indigenous , the Kumawood actor was honoured by the United Nations for his campaigns against the illegal immigration in West Africa.
The celebrated comic actor has also received numerous awards for his outstanding performance in the Kumawood film industry.
In 2014 he was nominated the Most favourite actor at the Akoben Movie Awards and best actor lead role for the movie Boys Abre. In the same year he was also nominated for best actor supporting role for his performance.
When it comes to making business deals, Lil Win has not been left behind. He has added entrepreneur on his profile by starting a multimedia company called Weezy Empire.
Wezzy Empire has two stations namely; The Event Hub and Online Tv.
Lilwin built a school Great Minds International School in his hometown. The school is from creche to Junior high, As part of his social responsibility to his motherland.
He has won consecutive the Favourite Actor at the Ghana Movie Awards and was also honoured by National Private Schools as the Most Promising Schools Director.
