Three honorable professors from the University of Education, Winneba have received a sizable sum of money from the Volvo Research and Educational Foundation as a research fund (VREF).

The three researchers working on "Removing barriers to a disability-inclusive urban transport system (Policies and regulations) in Accra and Nairobi (SITUATE-2)" and "walking as a mode of transportation in the "unwalkable" Accra and Nairobi" are Prof. Enoch F. Sam, Mr. Prince Kwame Odame, and Prof. Samuel Hayford.

Context: Cross-City Experiences in Ghana and Nigeria (Project GIANT)

A total of one million Swedish Kronor, or $90,000 (GHS 1,197,000), was given to the three professors to work on two different projects.
