The Monday, March 6, 2023, which falls on Independence Day, has been declared a statutory public holiday by the Interior Ministry and should be observed as such.
It has been 64 years since Ghana gained its independence on this day.
The national event will start in Ho, the capital of the Volta region, and all other regions and MMDAs would likely host their own festivities elsewhere in the nation.
The Interior Ministry has informed that Monday, 6th March, 2023 which marks Independence Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such.
