I Condemn Military Brutality, But The Soldier's Murderer Must Face The Law - Stonebwoy Reacts To Ashaiman Chaos

Stonewboy Ashaiman

Afro dancehall musician, Stonebwoy has reacted to the ongoing Ashaiman chaos over the alleged murder of a young soldier on his way to see family after being granted permission.

The incident drew Ghana Armed Forces in uniform to storm Ashaiman with Amor cars and ammunitions, beating the civilians over the death of a fellow soldier.

Over 72 men were arrested after the Ghana Armed Forces invaded the community and subjected residents to various forms of abuse in connection with the alleged murder of a colleague.

Some Ashaiman residents who recounted their ordeal complained bitterly about the behaviour of the military men who invaded the community and brutalised them with whatever they could lay their hands on.

However, Stonebwoy’s reaction to the situation in Ashaiman regarding military men’s brutality on innocent residents over the death of a fellow soldier said, he does not support such punitive actions against them.

According to the BhimNation president, who grew up in Ashaiman, even though he does not support the attitude of military personnel, the perpetrator of the murder should face the law in accordance.

“It’s 9 am in New York and I’m just waking up tothe news of what’s going on in my beloved Ashaiman. I unequivocally condemn all acts of violence and lawlessness, whether it relates to the brutalisation of innocent civilians or unlawful killing of a member of the armed forces. May all those culpable be found out and made to face the law fully”— he said
