I’m not obsessed with winning a Grammy- Stonebwoy

Although it has become a popular dream for most Ghanaian music artistes to bring home a Grammy, award-winning Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist, Stonebwoy says he’s not obsessed with achieving the feat.

Speaking in an interview on Property FM, Stonebwoy explained that although winning a Grammy is a dream, he’s not obsessed with bringing one home, rather, he’s obsessed about making good music for his fans.

“Obsession is a big no. I mean, I’m not obsessed with winning the Grammys or any other awards for that matter, but my obsession will rather be that I always want to continue to deliver my best,” he said.

Stonebwoy added that he is firmly committed to his goal of making music that connects with a variety of listeners, crosses boundaries, and popularizes Ghanaian culture.

“That I’ll be able to push Ghana music forward and I’ll be able to express my talent and to be able to win the heart of people and be on all the biggest stages I can ever imagine delivering a musical message to the world.

He continued; “I will continue to propel my sound and my dreams to the world and I’ll be able to continue to do that but to say the Grammys is above that dream is not realistic,” he stated.
